That Night :when I met you

The moon was bright and white that night
That night when I met you
The air had a chill it gave me a thrill
That night when I met you.

We danced in the moonlight to the sound of the sea
I only had eyes for you,
I held you tight in the pale moonlight
And you only, had eyes for me

With you in my arms, I had all that I wished
Your eyes twinkled brightly like the stars
And in a magical moment time froze with a kiss
The night and the moon were all ours

I swore I would love you, till the end of all time
And never give up, till the day you were mine
But you had another, a friend and a lover
So I vowed to destroy that dastardly swine

A duel was arranged to be fought to the death
I swore I would fight, to my very last breath
For you were my trophy and I was your Knight
It was swords that were chosen, we would use in that fight

The duel, was-to-be-fought, at the top of the hour
I gave you my vow, you gave me a flower
And so we began that fight to the death
I knew if I lose my life was bereft

We fought for an hour I felt very weak
But I held on to my strength for that which I seek
And then I tripped back, and as I lay on the ground
That dastardly villain raised his sword with the sound

Of my love, as she screamed, she fell towards me
Have mercy she cried for we shall be on
But it was too late the deed had been done
My foe thrust his sword, unable to stop

Through the heart of my love and on into mine
And now we're together our heart are entwined
As it was on that night and now for all time
The moon was bright and white in that night

That night as our hearts bled as one
But that love wouldn't die, as we rose to the sky
Together forever as one
