Horrorween

There was an air of foreboding on the eve, of all hallows day

The ghosts and goblins dodge the wolfs, as they seek out their prey

The occult feels strong tonight my dear, as death and evil add to the fear

Magical charms and witches brew, give power to the efforts of the grim reapers to

Vampires seek to suck out your blood,

And there, the swamp monster drags himself free from the mud

Ghouls wonder freely with an outstretched limb

Along with the zombies who delight in being grim.

And there a young child, unaware of the dangers

Toffee apple in one hand, trick-a treating with strangers

She knocks on a door which is opened just a crack

And there stands a figure, all dress in black

“Good evening young lady” sounded a deep growling voice

“Trick or treat” cries the child, what is your choice?

A treat you shall have my little pretty one

After all, that’s what’s expected
if I should join in the fun

A bagful of sweeties is what you shall get

Now hurry on home and don’t you forget

Never be on your own on Halloweens night

Else you might end up with something more than just a fright.
