Wednesday
Oh how well you know me
When I say I am well, and you know it’s not true
Giving a hug when I'm dejected and blue
Only one it could be, only one sticks like glue
The one I rely on
It had to be you
Saving frightens foxes from the baying pack
Keeping safe baby robins, from the eyes of the cat
Pocketing field mice from the kestrels attack
It got to be you
It had to be you
And when I forgot our anniversary
You took time to indulge me as I read poetry
Who makes the sky blue?
Who makes dreams all come true
it’s got to be you
it had to be you
